We had a fabulous 4th of July weekend at Grandpa Gary's and Grandma Laurie's. Grandma Laurie had made a cake ready for the kids to decorate into a flag with strawberries and blueberries. Colton and Ava were really into it but Evan was too busy running around acting crazy.
Of course you can't go to Grandpa Gary's house without a trip to the park!
Colton, who as most of you know is very unsure of most people, was totally enamoured with Grandpa Gary on this trip. In fact, whenever Grandpa left the room Colton would ask where he went. It was too cute. Look at the loving look he is giving in this picture.
Colton and Grandpa Gary again!
With the grandparents!
Ava and her hero...
On this trip Grandpa Gary and Grandma Laurie treated us all to a trip on the Spirit of Peoria Paddle Boat. It was so much fun (minus all the bugs I was freaking out over...what? they were IN my ponytail!) Colton and Ava loved the fact that Grandpa and Grandma were showing them how everything worked all around the boat. Evan....eh, not so much.
Back home we went to our annual village firework's show. The kids had a blast again jumping in the bounce houses and all three of them really enjoyed the fireworks show this year. Ava even got her face painted....after a very.long.line.
Thank you Grandpa Gary and Grandma Laurie for a wonderful weekend at your house and for treating us all to the Spirit of Peoria Paddle Boat ride. We all really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to seeing you again at the end of this month!

The one picture of Colton and Grandpa Gary I can't see. :(
Glad you had a wonderful holiday weekend! Can you believe this month is almost over??
The kids are so happy and so cute. Colton especially looks like he is having a great time.
