The Apple Orchard

What a wonderful weekend! On Saturday night I hosted a Lia Sophia party for one of my very best friend's Sandy who sells the jewelry. I had about 15 family, friends and neighbors over and we enjoyed some Mexican style appetizers along with sangria and mojitos! So dahdoo and Ava spent the evening together at dinner and the park. I did not get any pictures of the party because we were all having too much fun.

So the next day, dahdoo enjoyed a well-deserved afternoon in front of the couch watching football, football, and uhm, football while mommy and Ava went to the Apple Orchard with Sandy and her daughter Alexi. It was such a gorgeous day and Ava enjoyed walking around with her basket picking "appos" as she calls them and pointing up to the sky shouting "eprain" or airplane at every one she spotted. And she spots them all the time! It sometimes takes us a while to find a plane in the sky once she sees it.

We also fed corn to some chickens or "ducks" as she called them. All large feathered creatures are ducks to her these days. This place also had a huge inflatable jump that Alexi and Ava bounced around in and Ava even showed off what the other moms in her gym class refer to as the Irish jig. Ava has this way of jumping around and dancing that looks exactly like she is doing the Irish jig. No idea where she got that as there isn't a trace of Irish blood in either of her parents. The apples weren't the greatest so we didn't take any home but we definitely had a fun time.

Can you see Alexi?

Ava loved spending time with Alexi. Wherever Alexi went Ava had to be. When she ran, Ava would run. When she turned a corner, Ava would turn. It was so darn cute. Here are the cuties walking happily together side by side

Maria, mojitos and sangrias are my favorite!!!! I don't wear too much jewelry but the Lia Sophia ones look really nice.

That apple orchard looks beautiful. Too bad you guys didn't get any apples. Love the two girls walking together!
